Microneedling Treatment
Microneedling Treatment
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin treatment designed to promote skin rejuvenation and improve the appearance of a variety of skin concerns. During the procedure, a device equipped with tiny, fine needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing process, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin—key proteins that contribute to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
Microneedling can be used to treat a range of skin issues, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Acne scars
- Uneven skin texture
- Stretch marks
- Hyperpigmentation (sunspots, age spots)
- Enlarged pores
The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated, and involves little to no downtime. Patients may experience mild redness and swelling immediately after treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours to a day. Results can be seen gradually as collagen production increases, with optimal effects typically visible after multiple sessions, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Microneedling can also be combined with serums or PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) to enhance the treatment's effectiveness, allowing for deeper penetration and more noticeable results.
